On May 24, 2005 Albertans joined together to celebrate our 100th birthday with the Queen at the Alberta Legislature.

For the first time ever a reigning Monarch took the throne inside the Chamber of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II addressed the Members of the Assembly, dignitaries and guests.
