Location The Alberta Legislature is located on the North bank of the North Saskatchewan River just to the west of downtown Edmonton. Map of the Legislature Grounds (pdf) Access to the Legislature LRT - Edmonton's Light Rail Transit (LRT) is one of the best ways to get to the Legislature Grounds. Access to Government Station is just to the north-west of the Grounds on 110 street. An underground pedway connects directly onto the Legislature Grounds from the station. The LRT route extends from the University of Alberta south of the Legislature through the downtown core to north-east Edmonton. Consult Edmonton transit for more information on LRT travel. Bus - The Legislature is also well serviced by Edmonton Transit bus stops. Please consult the Edmonton Transit website for times and routes. Walking / Biking - The Alberta Legislature overlooks and borders on the Edmonton's river valley park and trail system. Consider walking across the North Saskatchewan river on the scenic High Level Bridge (109 street) or up from the parks that run along the river's edge below the Grounds.
