Standing Committee on the Economy is an all-party committee consisting of 12 Members of the Legislative Assembly. Its mandate relates to the areas of advanced education and technology, employment and immigration, finance and enterprise, infrastructure, and transportation.
In response to a request from the Minister of Employment and Immigration the Standing Committee on the Economy is conducting a review of Alberta´s minimum wage policy to ensure that it meets the current and future needs of workers and employers and remains relevant throughout changes to the economic climate.
