Standing Committee on Health is an all-party committee consisting of 12 Members of the Legislative Assembly. Its mandate relates to the areas of children and youth services, health and wellness, and seniors and community supports.

Discussion Paper: Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act Review
On April 13, 2010, the Legislative Assembly of Alberta passed the following motion:
Be it resolved that:
- The Standing Committee on Health be deemed to be the special committee of the Assembly for the purpose of conducting a comprehensive review of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, as provided for in section 97 of the Act;
- The committee must commence its review of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act no later than July 1, 2010, and must submit its report to the Assembly within one year of commencing its review including any amendments recommended by the committee;
- No additional remuneration shall be provided to the members of the committee for the purpose of this review.
