Standing Committee on Public Safety and Services is an all-party committee consisting of 12 Members of the Legislative Assembly. Its mandate relates to the areas of aboriginal relations, government services, government organization, personnel administration, expenditure management, revenue, justice, policing and public security.
In response to a request from the Minister of Justice and Attorney General the Standing Committee on Public Safety and Services will look into and report on the issue of financial reporting by individuals who are seeking the leadership of their political party.
