The majority of the information within this Website first appeared in a publication: Premiers of the Northwest Territories and Alberta 1897-1991 (1991).

This publication was originally conceived by a past Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Dr. David J. Carter. This volume was researched, written, and designed by D. Blake McDougall, a past Assistant Deputy Minister/ Legislature Librarian. He was assisted with some entries by Brent Lakeman, Research Assistant. The Honourable Ralph P. Klein, Premier of Alberta, surviving ex-Premiers, and the relatives of deceased Premiers also assisted in the preparation of this material by reviewing the final entries. The portraits, except two, are photographs of oil paintings that are on display at Alberta's Legislature Building. The photograph of The Honourable Donald R. Getty and the Honourable Ralph P. Klein were provided by the Alberta Public Affairs Bureau. Christina Ha and Eileen Cardy prepared the manuscript for publication, and Eileen Cardy and Candace Fertile assisted with the proofreading.
