Matthew Jones was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for the constituency of Calgary-South East on April 16, 2019.
Mr. Jones is a member of the Standing Committee on the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund and the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing. He was previously a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future.
Mr. Jones is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.
Before he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Mr. Jones worked as an investment banker helping Alberta based businesses with capital raises, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Jones lives in Calgary with his wife Tarena and their four children, Caleb, Kieran, Logan and Isla. His interests include sports, music and technology.
He was the 923rd Member to be sworn in to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
