Alberta - Heilongjiang 30th Anniversary Winter Festival
January 12 to 22
This January, the Alberta Legislature celebrates the 30th anniversary of Alberta's twinning with its sister province of Heilongjiang, China with a free winter festival. Master ice and snow carvers from Heilongjiang will transform the Legislature west grounds into a winter wonderland. Enjoy breathtaking works of winter art, public skating, a heated tent with live music and entertainment.
The Official Opening Ceremonies will occur in the Legislature Rotunda on January 12 at 4:45 pm. Tours of the Legislature will be provided in Cantonese on January 13, 14, 21, and 22 at 12:00, 2:00 and 4:00 pm, and on January 17 and 19 at 1:30 and 3:30 pm.

Skating Rink Now Open
The staking rink on the south grounds of the Alberta Legislature is now open. Weather dependant, the rink is open for you to enjoy every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
