Minister of Mental Health and Addiction
Nicholas Milliken was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Calgary-Currie, on April 16, 2019.
On October 24, 2022, Mr. Milliken was sworn in as Minister of Mental Health and Addiction. He previously served as Minister of Infrastructure.
He previously served as the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Legislative Offices. He was also a member of the Select Special Committee to Examine Safe Supply and the Select Special Committee on Real Property Rights.
Before serving with the Legislative Assembly, he was a practising lawyer and business owner in Calgary.
Mr. Milliken holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Saskatchewan and bachelor’s degrees in arts and commerce from the University of Alberta.
An active community member and family man, Mr. Milliken lives in Calgary-Currie with his wife, Christine, and their young son. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the drums and running.
He was the 928th Member sworn in to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
