Access to Legislature Building and Precincts

Legislature Building

For hearing assistance in the Legislature Chamber, there are several options available. In addition to the screens located in the Members’ Gallery and Public Gallery which display program video with ASL and captions, we also have a hearing assist system installed in the Chamber called Auri, by Auracast™. (Auracast™ - Listen Technologies)

Auracast™ devices can be signed out at the security desk on the fourth floor of the Legislature Building. Compatible personal devices may also be able to connect to the Auri broadcast. Please look for the assistive listening signs to connect your personal device to your hearing aid, smartphone or headphones. (Please note – this service is not compatible with Apple devices.)

QE II BUILDING (Second Floor)

Hearing assistance services are also available in Legislative Assembly Committee rooms. Video screens located in the public galleries display video with captions and infrared hearing assist devices are available to guests and can be signed out from the reception desk on the second floor.

Visitors with strollers, wheelchairs and those with mobility restrictions

may access the Legislature Building through the ground level west entrance located off 109 Street. The Queen Elizabeth II Building may be accessed by the public through the west doors of the Violet King Henry Plaza entrance.

Please note that visitors to the Legislature Building and the second floor of the Queen Elizabeth II Building undergo security screening upon entry.
