Jordan Walker was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Sherwood Park, on April 16, 2019.
Mr. Walker is a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future. He previously was the Chair of the Select Special Information and Privacy Commissioner Search Committee and was a member of the following:
- Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services
- Standing Committee on Legislative Offices
- Standing Committee on Families and Communities
- Standing Committee on Public Accounts
Prior to his election as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta Mr. Walker served as a foreign qualification recognition and immigration officer for the government of Alberta. He speaks basic Japanese and spent a year teaching English as a second language in Japan.
Mr. Walker holds both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree.
He and his wife, Shizuko, are residents of Sherwood Park. He enjoys sports, movies, dogs, reading and international relations.
He was the 951st Member to be sworn in to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
