  • Stop by the Legislative Assembly Visitor Centre and check out the Agora Interpretive Centre, the Alberta Branded store and the 4D film in the Pehonan Theatre. Don't forget to visit Alberta and the Great War, the feature exhibition in the Borealis Gallery.
  • Meet mascot Rocky the Ram and more roving figures.
  • Take a picture of the family with fun props at the photo booth wall.

  • Download Discovery Agents (free app) and challenge yourself with the Discover the Alberta Legislature Mission on the Legislature Grounds.
  • ** A number of food vendors will offer treats for purchase.**

Family Day was introduced as a way to underline family values and encourage Albertans to take time for their families. Former Premier Don Getty established this annual statutory holiday which came into force on February 19, 1990, and was the first holiday of its kind in Canada.
