Celebrate Family Day at the Legislature

February 2017

A day of free family (indoor) fun awaits on Monday, February 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All activities and entertainment will take place in the Edmonton Federal Building and the Legislative Assembly Visitor Centre, throughout the warm pedway and inside of the Legislature Building.

Family Day was introduced as a way to underline family values and encourage Albertans to take time for their families. Former Premier Don Getty established this annual statutory holiday which came into force on February 19, 1990, and was the first holiday of its kind in Canada.
