Jon Carson was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Edmonton-Meadowlark, on May 5, 2015. He was re-elected to represent the constituency of Edmonton-West Henday on April 16, 2019.
He serves as a member of the Select Special Information and Privacy Commissioner Search Committee and the Standing Committee on Families and Communities.
He was previously a member of the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing.
He previously served on the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future, the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing.
He attended postsecondary studies at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, first attaining a diploma in radio and television broadcasting, then later returning for an electrical apprenticeship.
Prior to his election Mr. Carson was employed as an electrician.
Mr. Carson was the 837th Member to be sworn in to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
