Tracy Allard was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Grande Prairie, on April 16, 2019.
Mrs. Allard is deputy chair of the Select Special Committee to Examine Safe Supply. She also serves on the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services, the Select Special Information and Privacy Commissioner Search Committee and the following standing committees of the Legislative Assembly:
She previously served as Minister of Municipal Affairs and as a member of the Select Special Democratic Accountability Committee.
Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, Mrs. Allard was a business owner, having franchised Tim Hortons restaurants in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, and in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Active in her community, she served as a director with the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation. She was board president of the Grande Prairie Boys’ Choir and sat on the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation Capital Cabinet.
She holds a bachelor of commerce and a certificate in disability management, both from the University of British Columbia.
Mrs. Allard is a two-time recipient of a friends of education award from the Grande Prairie public school district and Le Conseil scolaire du Nord-Ouest, respectively.
She and her husband, Serge, have three children.
Mrs. Allard was the 912th Member to be sworn in to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
