Shane Getson was re-elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Lac Ste. Anne-Parkland on May 29, 2023.
He is currently a member of the following legislative committees:
- Standing Committee on Legislative Offices (Chair)
- Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future (Chair)
- Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services (Deputy Chair)
Previously, Mr. Getson held the position of Parliament Secretary for Economic Corridors.
Before serving with the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Getson spent 15 years in the construction industry, most recently as project director. From 2008 to 2015, he worked as senior manager of planning and execution for a private company in the energy sector.
He attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), receiving a diploma in civil engineering technology in 1996.
He and his wife have four children.
Mr. Getson was the 917th Member sworn into the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
