Jeremy Nixon was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Calgary-Klein on April 16, 2019.
He was previously the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Community and Social Services.
He currently serves as a member of the Select Special Democratic Accountability Committee.
He previously served as a member of the following:
- Standing Committee on Legislative Offices
- Standing Committee on Private Bills and Private Members’ Public Bills
- Standing Committee on Families and Communities
Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Nixon worked in the non-profit sector for over 15 years. He held leadership roles with organizations including the Mustard Seed, Canadian Mental Health Association and Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary.
Mr. Nixon holds a degree in communications and culture from the University of Calgary.
He is married to Anita and they have four children.
He was the 932nd Member to be sworn in to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
