R.J. Sigurdson was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Highwood, on April 16, 2019.
Mr. Sigurdson is currently the deputy chair of the Standing Committee on Legislative Offices.
He serves as a member of the following committees:
- Special Standing Committee on Member Services
- Standing Committee on Private Bills and Private Members’ Public Bills
- Select Special Democratic Accountability Committee.
He was previously a member of the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship.
Prior to serving as a Member, Mr. Sigurdson worked with Avalanche Air Systems as a senior project/general manager and shareholder. He also has extensive experience as a red seal sheet metal worker.
Mr. Sigurdson has been an active volunteer with organizations such as Shriners International.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and children as well as camping, fishing and hunting.
Mr. Sigurdson was the 945th Member to be sworn in to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
