Parliamentary Secretary for Affordability and Utilities
Chantelle de Jonge was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Chestermere-Strathmore on May 29, 2023.
Prior to joining the Legislative Assembly, Ms. de Jonge worked as a registered dental assistant from 2015 to 2022.
In 2021 she received the Professor Z.M. Kubinski prize in economics from the University of Calgary Faculty of Social Science.
Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Ms. de Jonge grew up on a farm. She eventually moved to Calgary and attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), where she earned her registered dental assistant diploma. She also graduated from the University of Calgary in 2021, with a bachelor of arts degree with distinction and a double major in economics and philosophy.
She was the 975th Member to be sworn into the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
