Legislature Building Notice:


Public entrance to the Legislature is located on the west side of the building.
Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled guided tour. 

Year-Round Programs

Drop-in activities can be found at the Activities Tent outdoors in the North Amphitheatre near the spray park, May long-weekend to September long-weekend.

Passport to Your Alberta Legislature

Set off on an adventure across the Legislature Grounds with your very own passport! Pick up a passport from any staff member on site and explore each stop.

Get your passport stamped as you discover the highlights and hidden stories of the Alberta Legislature.

When your passport is complete, head to the Activities Tent in the North Amphitheatre by the spray deck to claim a prize!

Stories of Alberta: Famous Figures

This summer, history comes alive on the Legislature Grounds!

Meet some of Alberta's most fascinating historic figures as they appear on the grounds, leading activities, playing games with visitors and sharing stories about their lives and legacies. Find them at the North Amphitheatre but the spray park. (Rain out location is the lobby of the Queen Elizabeth II building.)

Young Family Programs

Perfect for caregivers with babies and young children, these family-focused sessions offer age-appropriate activities that make visiting the Legislature an extra-special experience!

Stroller Tours

30 mins

A stroller tour is a flexible tour created for caregivers with babies in strollers or carriers. Offered once a week, this smaller-group experience follows an accessible route through the Legislature, using elevators and spacious rest areas. Guides share adult-friendly content at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to pause for little ones’ needs.

(Mondays in July and August 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. *no tour on Monday August 3rd or August 31st )

Designed for children ages two to five and their caregivers, this weekly program brings the Legislature to life through playful early-learning experiences. 

Activities include:

  • A kid-friendly Rotunda program with information customized to the ages
  • Storytime in the Lower Rotunda with Rocky the Ram
  • A hands-on activity or craft in the Lower Rotunda
(Tuesdays in July and August 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.)
