Discover Alberta’s vibrant parliamentary history and culture through the Legislative Assembly’s interactive and engaging visitor centre, which is located on the main floor of the Queen Elizabeth II Building (9820-107 Street).

Free Crafts and Games

  • Colours of Alberta: Make a friendship bracelet and discover the meaning behind Alberta’s official emblems and the colours of its tartan.
  • Tricorn Hats: Learn about the Speaker’s role in our democracy and make some fancy headgear to take home.
  • Make A Mace: Make your own version of this traditional symbol of authority and find out why it's so important.
  • Timelines Untangled: Learn about Alberta’s history with this fun and challenging timeline game.
Programs run during regular Visitor Centre hours, inside the Queen Elizabeth II building.

Legislature Building Notice:


Public entrance to the Legislature is located on the west side of the building.
Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled guided tour.

Legislature Building Tours:

  • Wednesday to Friday - 3 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday - 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.

Visitor Centre:

  • Wednesday to Sunday - 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Capital Gifts:

  • Monday to Friday - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday - 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Times may vary during holidays, special events and facility maintenance.
