Mandate
The Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship is a Legislative Policy Committee with a mandate related to the areas of Affordability and Utilities; Energy and Minerals; Environment and Protected Areas; Forestry and Parks; Indigenous Relations; Municipal Affairs; Transportation and Economic Corridors; Treasury Board and Finance.
Pursuant to the passage of Government Motion 73 on May 13, 2025, the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship was deemed a special committee of the Assembly for the purpose of reviewing the Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblower Protection) Act. The Chair tabled the Committee's final report in the Legislative Assembly on March 11, 2026 (Sessional Deposit 372/2025-26), concluding the Committee’s review of the Act.
