MOTIONS FOR RETURNS

Motions for returns are requests, usually from Members belonging to opposition caucuses, for Cabinet Ministers to produce specific documents or for detailed data for the information of the Assembly.

Effective upon the passage of Government Motion 28, agreed to by the Legislative Assembly on February 24, 2026, Motions for Returns are no longer an item of business in Assembly.

In accordance with Government Motion 28, Motions for returns standing on the Order Paper on February 24, 2026, are due for consideration on Day 145 of the Second Session of the 31st Legislature.

This database enables users to access all motions for returns based on legislative session and includes the MLAs who made the requests.
